About Us
Founded in June 2022 by Dr. Stacy D. Stewart, School Transformation Consultants LLC was created to meet the growing demand for expert consultative services in education. With a deep commitment to excellence and equity, we support educational institutions in transforming their practices to better serve students, educators, and communities.

Dr. Stacy D. Stewart
Founder and Lead Consultant
Dr. Stacy D. Stewart is a transformative force in education, with over 30 years of experience shaping schools, empowering educators, and championing student success. Known for her relentless advocacy for child-centered learning, equity, and leadership development, Dr. Stewart inspires educators to drive meaningful, lasting change.

She began her career as an English teacher at Scotland High School in Laurinburg, NC, and quickly rose through leadership roles in the adjacent county (Hoke), including assistant principal, principal, and executive director across multiple North Carolina districts. Her dedication to high-need schools led her to Franklin County, Edgecombe County, and ultimately Durham Public Schools, where she served as Assistant Superintendent for School Transformation and culminated her public service as Chief of Schools. Along the way, she also shared her expertise as an adjunct professor at North Carolina Central University.

Dr. Stewart holds a bachelor’s degree in education from UNC-Chapel Hill, a Master’s in School Administration from East Carolina University, and both an Education Specialist and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Wingate University. Her career honors include Teacher of the Year, Principal of the Year, Administrative Support Person of the Year, and the NC State Leadership Award for Outstanding Service and Dedication to Children—recognition of her lifelong commitment to ensuring every child succeeds.
